Carlton is a suburb lying across the boundary of the Municipality of Kogarah and the City of Rockdale in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 15km south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the St George area. The postcode is 2218. Carlton’s main shopping centre is located on Railway Parade and Carlton Parade, beside Carlton railway station on the Illawarra line. Commercial developments are also found along the Princes Highway. Carlton is home to the St George Illawarra Dragons National Rugby League team. The St George home ground located on Jubilee Avenue, is known as Oki Jubilee Stadium (formerly Jubilee Oval).
